IL-III-1 STAMP TEXT:
(Stamp Courtesy of Dick Schaefer) This stamp is available at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center in Hartford, IL and is off Hwy 3 just off I 270. I am told there is an impressive full sized cut-away keelboat exhibit in the Visitor Center and worth the visit. More information on this site is available here. The picture below is of the site.
IL-III-2 STAMP TEXT:
(Stamp Courtesy of Dick Schaefer) This stamp is available at two locations. The first is at Fort Kaskaskia State Park at 4372 Park Rd., Ellis Grove, IL. The second is at the Pierre Menard Home located at 4230 Kaskaskia St., Ellis Grove, IL. It looks like the hours to these sites are tricky, so you may have to use some luck to obtain these stamps. The reported hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 9AM to 4PM. IL-Bonus-1 STAMP TEXT:
(Stamp Courtesy of Dick Schaefer) This stamp is located in Nauvoo, IL, but it is not an official stamp. It is available at the Restored Post Office, rather than at the functioning Post Office or Visitor Center. (Note this stamp is 192.2 miles away from Hartford, IL towards the North in Nauvoo, IL). The date on the stamp is permanent as "Jun 2". This stamp was obtained by Dick Schaefer on 01-08-2004.
