KY-I-1 STAMP TEXT:

This stamp is available at the Visitor Center separate from the cabin enclosed in the cement structure on the hill (pictured above). The VC recently went through a reconstruction, so I'm sure it has changed a bit since my visit in early 2003. The items on display in the museum are lacking in much substance, but this may be do in part to a lack of materials from this era. I remember a family bible and a tree ring display, but that's about it. The cabin is worth a quick look. The most interesting aspect is the lonely ranger on duty next to the cabin. I don't think she'd talked to anyone in over a week when I met her. I'd say there are more visitors in the Summer though.
