MI-VII-2 STAMP TEXT:

By far, the most exciting aspect of this park is the dune climb. As a native of Traverse City, MI, this was a regular destination for my family when I was a kid. It can be crowded at times, but there is plenty of space on the dune. Be forewarned though, climbing to the top does not give you a view of Lake Michigan, you'll need to hike about 2 more miles to see the lake. However, the view of Glen Lake is great and worthy of the a few pictures when you stop to catch your breath at the top of the hill. On top of your fun, don't forget this stamp which is located at The Dune Center. There is a $7 per car fee for this part of the park.

MI-VII-3 STAMP TEXT:

This easy to find stamp is available at the Glen Haven General Store in Glen Haven, MI which is off M-109.

Note: The Islands of North and South Manitou are also part of this park and a light house bonus stamp is available on South Manitou Island at the Visitor Center on the island. A stamp for South Manitou is now available as of 2006. Here are some shots from my 2004 trip to South Manitou.
