There have been some recent changes to this park and many of the older stamps are now retired. The stamps currently available are listed here. More exploration for other stamps around this park may be warranted as my time here was limited.

Number of Cancellation Stamps: 4

OH-III-1 STAMP TEXT:

This stamp is available at the new Visitor Center building and not in the Cycle Shop itself. The Visitor Center (Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center) is right next door to the Cycle Shop though, so you get to tour both at one stop. The address is 22 South Williams St., Dayton, OH. The stamp is at the Information Desk on the counter.

OH-III-2 STAMP TEXT:

This house is a bit difficult to find, but it is located at 219 North Dunbar and about 3 miles away from the Cycle Shop. The entrance to the house is actually off the street and around the corner. There are some friendly staff here and quite a lot of literature on this literary figure (Paul Laurence Dunbar) who attended school with the Wright Brothers. The stamp is at the Information desk and I believe you have to ask for it.

OH-III-3 STAMP TEXT:

As you can tell, this stamp is showing some signs of aging. It is found at the Carillon Historic Park, which  is located at the Southern end of Dayton at 2001 South Patterson Blvd. The park is actually quite interesting and comprises some fantastic period buildings and a great little diner that still has the old phosphate drinks! The picture below shows the Sunoco station across from the Wright Brothers Aviation Center. The Aviation Center is where the stamp resides and is at the little desk after entering the building. I had to find it myself under the counter as no one was on duty when I came in. Be careful here, they round everyone up and send them along through a "forced" tour where you have to watch a 20 minute interactive video. It is informative and the only way you get to see the Flyer, but if you're short on time, expect about 45 minutes once you enter this building! Be sure to get the stamp before you go on the tour, or you'll have to do it over again when they round everyone up from the starting point.

OH-III-4 STAMP TEXT:

This final stamp is available at the Huffman Prairie Flying Field Interpretive Center at Wright Memorial Park which is in the Northern part of Dayton. Just turn at Huffman Rd. off 444 and you're there. It's an immediate Right off Huffman Rd. at the first light. Don't go into Gate 16A of Wright Patterson Air Force Base or you'll have some explaining to do. The stamp is at the Information Desk. There are some great hands-on exhibits at this site, so spend a little time here if you can.
