National Scenic Trail

This is the only stamp available for the Natchez Trace NST in Tennessee and is available at the Leipers Fork Ranger Station which is at Mile Marker 429. Other stamps for the Parkway are also available at this Ranger Station. (TN-VI-3 and TN-VI-4).

The Meriwether Lewis Park at Mile Marker 386 is where this stamp is found. The stamp is in an unattended building.

Both these stamps and TN-VI-1 are available at the Leipers Fork Ranger Station which is located at Mile Marker 429 near the Terminus South of Nashville, TN. The Leipers Fork, TN stamp (TN-VI-3) is also found at the Natchez Trace Parkway Visitor Center in Tupelo, MS which is the only "Visitor Center" for the Parkway according to the facilities listing at the NPS website. All the Parkway stamps are supposed to be available at the Visitor Center.

Available at the Sycamore Shoals State Historic Area Visitor Center in Elizabethton, TN. I'm planning on grabbing this stamp on my next trip to Tennessee as it is near Holly's hometown in Greeneville, TN. I will have it on May 2nd, 2004.

Trail of Tears National Historic Trail

TN-XI-1 and TN-XI-2 Stamp Text:

These stamps are located in the Tennessee portion of the Trail of Tears NHT. The stamp on the left is found at the Shiloh National Military Park Bookstore (see: TN-IX-1). The difference from the stamp on the right is that "AL" is not included. The "AL" included stamp is found at 301 Mai St. in Savannah, TN at the Tennessee River Museum as well as 1140 Red Clay Park Rd. in Cleveland, TN at the Red Clay State Park. The distance between Cleveland, TN and Savannah, TN is 234 miles.

Also, there may be a stamp at the Sequoyah Birthplace in Vonore, TN (as per Craig Bailey according to the Long Distance Trails office in Santa Fe, NM). This site is about 56 miles from the Red Clay State Park in Cleveland, TN.
