USVI-III-1 STAMP TEXT:
This stamp is easy to get and within walking distance (about 1/2 mile) from the Cruz Bay ferry dock. It is available at the Visitor Center, but you need to ask for it. The picture above is the Visitor Center and taken by me from across the NPS docking area. There is also a small kiosk that has the same stamp as above located at Trunk Bay. Be sure to snorkel here. After 4PM, it's all yours! We were the only ones at this beautiful beach (voted one of the top 10 most beautiful places on the planet by the way!). Be warned though, the showers are closed once the NPS kiosk is closed and you'll have to hail a taxi on the road as we did. Don't worry, they eventually come as it's on the main road back to Cruz Bay. The taxis are canopied trucks and hold about 12 people. It's about $6 to $9 depending on the driver each way to Trunk Bay from Cruz Bay.
USVI-II-1 STAMP TEXT:
(Stamp courtesy of Bruce and Letty) This stamp is available at the Visitor Center in Cruz bay as well and is a new stamp. It was not there in May of 2003 when I visited. Oh well, I guess I'll have to go back... Another Margarita perhaps?
The food is pretty good here, but 2 BIG drinks and a split lunch was $40! This little restaurant is right across the street from the Virgin Islands VC. Expect to pay double for anything you need to buy on St. John. So come prepared when you come over from St. Thomas. We took the ferry from Red Hook, St. Thomas to Cruz Bay, St. John.
